A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
When you have a real relationship with God, He changes your heart. You start to feel freed from anger, worry and envy. You have peace in your heart and a hope that makes you joyful. But a person who envies the happiness, prosperity and success of others exhausts your body and soul. Don’t let envy steal your peace and joy, don’t let it affect your spirit or your health. Trust in the Lord and trust that what is meant for you won’t pass you by.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
What would you rather do, worry or worship? Whatever it is that worries you, whether it’s spiritual, physical, for yourself, or for others, bring it to God in prayer. Humbly come before your heavenly Father, with a sincere heart and lay your burdens, your worries, and your cares at His feet. Thank Him for what He has already done for you and what He will do for you. He wants you to come to Him with an honest heart and tell Him how you feel and what you need. He already knows, but he wants to hear it from you.
All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.
You can choose to be worried and troubled or you can choose to trust God and be happy. The way to a happy heart begins in giving thanks to God in every situation. You can always find something to be thankful for even if you have to look a little harder. Be grateful for the little things that God can use to fill your heart with joy.
Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Worrying doesn’t change a thing and it sure doesn’t add any benefit to your life. Instead of worrying start serving. Spend time helping those in need and you’ll have less time to spend worrying. Focus on helping others and God will make sure you are taken of.
