Meaningful Fruit

1 john 15 5.jpg

Verse of the Day:  John 15:5

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
We can get through the day thinking we’re okay and everything is alright.  How much better would our day and our lives be if we accepted God and acknowledged his ways.  He may allow us to have success but without him it’s meaningless.  We need God in every part of our lives.

#RelationshipGoals

1 john 17 3

Verse of the Day:  John 17:3

And this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

Do you know the Lord? Knowing who he is, is not enough.  Our goal in life should be to know Christ by having a deep and personal relationship with Him.  We need to make this our priority if we want to spend eternity in the presence of the Lord.

The Light of the World

1 john 8 12

Verse of the Day:  John 8:12

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Everyone is going crazy over this solar eclipse but what they really should be focusing on is the real light of the world, Jesus!  If you follow Jesus, you’ll never have to walk in darkness.  Tomorrow the eclipse will be over but the light of life is for eternity!

Intercede

1 luke

Verse of the Day:  Luke 5:20

And when he saw their faith, he said “Man your sins are forgiven you.”

If you read the story of the man who was paralyzed and whose friends lifted him to the roof and lowered him down so Jesus could heal him, you’ll see that the man wasn’t healed because of his own faith, but because of the faith of his friends.

You may know someone who is going through something so difficult it is beginning to weaken their faith in God.  You might not know what you can do to help.  That’s where your faith comes in to play.  You need to be the bridge to God by praying and interceding for your family and friends.

Rejoice, Pray, Give Thanks

1 thessalonians

Verse of the Day:  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.

We don’t always need to change our circumstances, sometimes we just need to change the way we see them.   No matter what you are going through keep rejoicing in the Lord, keep praying, and giving thanks to God.  Don’t give up on God because he won’t give up on you.  Let God have control over your life and he’ll turn your test into a testimony.

Wait, Hope, Believe

1 psalms 27 14.jpeg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

We are not always good at waiting, it’s just our nature.  We get impatient, frustrated, and start to doubt God’s will in our lives.  But we need to be confident in God’s goodness.  We need to wait on the Lord’s timing, hope in his mercy, and believe in his promises!

Your Thoughts Matter

1 proverbs 4 23

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 4:23

Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. (GNT)

If you think your thoughts don’t matter you are very wrong.  When you think about things or believe something whether it’s good or bad, it turns into things you do, if you do these things enough times it turns into a habit.  Your habits determine your character and your character determines who you are in life and where you will spend eternity.
