Trust with All Your Heart

Proverbs 3 5 b

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

There are going to be times when you say, “God, I don’t understand why this is happening.”  Those are the times you have to accept that you will not understand everything God is doing and you just have to trust that everything He does is done out of love for you.

Morning Habits

Psalm 143 8.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 143:8

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

When I wake up each morning two things cross my mind, God’s Word and coffee.  I’ve made it a habit to start my day with both and have come to depend on them to get me through the day.  If you want a closer relationship with God get into the habit of reading the Bible daily.  All you need is a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus.

Trust in God

Isaiah 26 4

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

Building trust takes time.  The more you get to know God, the more your trust in him will grow.  Worrying doesn’t change a thing.  Instead, focus on getting to know God and let go of worry.

My Rock

Psalm 18 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; in whom I will trust.

When we have a personal relationship with God we learn to trust Him in all situations.  We know that no matter what is going on around us we can count on Him to be there for us because we know he loves us and always has our best interest at heart. People may fail you but God never will.

Teach by Example

1 12-2 1 Psalm 34 11

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 34:11

Come, my children, listen to me:  I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

The best gift you can give your children is to teach them to obey and follow the Lord which leads to wisdom, prosperity and a happy life. Teaching children to fear the Lord doesn’t mean they should be afraid of Him, it means they should respect Him and put Him first in their lives. Fear of the Lord requires awe, reverence, adoration, honor, worship, faith, trust, thankfulness, and love.  We teach these to our children not just by word but by example. Share Jesus, the greatest gift of all, with your children.

God Isn’t Finished with You Yet

1 11-13 1 Philippians 1 6

Verse of the Day:  Philippians 1:6

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Have you ever felt like it was taking way too long for God to change you? You might even have wished you could rush God into changing you over night.  We all do, but it doesn’t happen that way. You need to be confident that in His way and in His timing he is changing you. We know this because He always finishes what He starts, so when you feel like you’re not changing fast enough, have faith and trust that God is still working on you.

No Limit

1 10-26 1

Verse of the Day:   Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

God created the heavens and the earth, how much more can He do than what you see as impossible. Stop putting human limitations on a God that has no limit to what He can do.  Have faith and remember that with God ALL things are possible!
