1 12-21 1 Matthew 2 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 2:2

Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the East and have come to worship Him.

The long awaited sign that the Savior had been born finally appeared in the night sky.  They magi knew that the King of the Jews had been born and the prophecy fulfilled. (A star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel. Numbers 24:17) The message of the star is the good news that Jesus Christ the Messiah has come to pay for our sins so that we might have our relationship with God restored.

Different Task, Same Goal

Acts 20 24

Verse of the Day:  Acts 20:24

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me — the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

God has given each of us different abilities and talents to be used for his purpose.  We should be content with what we’ve been given and use them to the best of our ability. We each may have a different task but the goal is the same for all of us, to finish the race and to complete the task we’ve been assigned.
