1 Peter 4 10.jpg

Verse of the Day:  1 Peter 4:10

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

God gives each of us talents, abilities and gifts that He expects us to use to serve others.  Gifts of wisdom, faith, discernment, teaching, administration, service, mercy, hospitality and encouragement have been given to us for His purpose, not ours. If we want to please God we must faithfully use our gifts to bless others and to build His kingdom.

Serving

Mark 10 45.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Even though Jesus was born King, by His own example He teaches us humility.  The Bible says that Jesus did not come to be served but to serve.  As ambassadors of Christ our lives should exemplify His traits and should reflect Christ in us. Let’s follow His example of humility by serving the less fortunate this holiday season and throughout the year. If you’re interested in volunteering your time you can find volunteer opportunities near you at http://www.volunteermatch.org.

Why Should We Serve?

Mark 10 45 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

As followers of Jesus Christ we should follow the example He set for us. Jesus showed us how to help the weak and we must, with humility and love, also do the same.  How wonderful it is to serve God by serving others.
