Be an Overcomer

1 romans 12 21

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

It’s easy to see that the devil is busy stirring up evil all over the world.  That’s why we as Christians need to keep vigilant and put on the whole armor of God.  Don’t repay evil for evil, instead love your enemies and pray for them.  Keep doing good deeds and don’t let evil weaken you.  Be strong and courageous in your faith, be an overcomer.

Give Honor Where Honor is Due

1 romans 12 10

Verse of the Day:  Romans 12:10

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Let’s encourage each other by giving honor where honor is due.  Everyone needs to feel appreciated and we all know someone who deserves a little credit for everything they do.  Take a moment to honor someone with a sincere and authentic compliment.

For His Purpose

Romans 6 13.jpg

Romans 6:13

Verse of the Day:   Romans 6:13

Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.

You have a new identity in Christ. You are no longer a slave to sin and because you’ve been set free from sin you can offer yourself to God so he can use you for his purpose.  Devote yourself to God and to his service with all your heart.

Hope for Today

Romans 15 13

Romans 15:13

Verse of the Day:  Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Without hope we feel helpless, alone, and powerless.  But our God is the source of all hope.   Hope for healing, hope for peace, hope for joy.  All hope comes from knowing, believing, and trusting God and by his grace he has given us the gift of hope.

More than Conquerors

romans 8 37

Romans 8:37

Verse of the Day:  Romans 8:37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

What joy it is to know that nothing, no tribulations, suffering, persecution, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.   His love is not earned so it cannot be lost, it is undeserved and limitless!  Through his love we are not just conquerors, we are more than conquerors, not just in some things but in all things.
