Happy Father’s Day

1fathersday

Proverbs 20:7

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 20:7

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.

Fathers: You are responsible for teaching your children about the Lord.  Be a spiritual leader by example, show love, discipline when necessary, and have compassion for your children.  Children:  Obey, respect, and honor your father, in all the ways of the Lord.  Fathers and Children:  No one is perfect, forgive each other and try to live in peace.

Let’s Give Them Nothing to Talk About

1 Peter 2 15

1 Peter 2:15

Verse of the Day:  1 Peter 2:15

For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.

The best way to put a stop to critics is to live a righteous and godly life so that those who don’t know God will have nothing bad to say about you.

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 6:11

Ephesians 6:11

Verse of the Day:  Ephesians 6:11

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Just like a soldier going into battle we too must put on our full armor.  God has equipped us with all we need to stand up to the devil’s plans.  The first thing we must do is to recognize that we already have the victory through Jesus Christ.

Verse of the Day:   Isaiah 32:17

The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

God’s presence in our lives changes everything.  When we submit to God’s will, he gives us a calmness, an inner peace that nothing on the outside can take away.  We’ll have a quiet confidence that no matter what happens we know God is in control and we know that God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
