Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
As a wife, mother and grandmother I do my best to take care of my family as much as is possible. There are some things that are out of my control and for me they are impossible, those, I leave to God. Through prayer, supplication and faith I put my trust in the Lord Almighty who deals in making the impossible possible. Do the possible and trust God for the impossible.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
Bearing much fruit comes with spiritual maturity. When you devote yourself to God and His will, the more this fruit is evident in your life. And when you aren’t connected to the life giving vine, you stop bearing fruit. Stay connected to God with daily prayer, reading His Word and by being thankful.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
The Christian life is not always easy. Jesus said we will have troubles but we can have peace because He overcame the world (John 16:33). Be encouraged in knowing you can be joyful in the hope you have in Christ, patient during troubled times and faithful in your prayer life regardless of what is going on around you.
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my voice in prayer.
We all fall short of the glory of God. We are not perfect but what we do when we fail God makes all the difference. Put aside your pride and acknowledge your sin and turn from it. Don’t let sin come between you and God. Don’t let sin destroy your fellowship with Him. Humble yourself before the Lord and confess your sins, ask for forgiveness, and he will hear your prayers.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
What would you rather do, worry or worship? Whatever it is that worries you, whether it’s spiritual, physical, for yourself, or for others, bring it to God in prayer. Humbly come before your heavenly Father, with a sincere heart and lay your burdens, your worries, and your cares at His feet. Thank Him for what He has already done for you and what He will do for you. He wants you to come to Him with an honest heart and tell Him how you feel and what you need. He already knows, but he wants to hear it from you.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. (NLT)
Doesn’t it make you feel wonderful to know you have given your children what they’ve asked for on their Christmas list? Now, think about how much more your heavenly Father also wants to give you good gifts. God loves you and it makes Him happy to bless you with the desires of your heart. God already knows what you need before you ask, if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
At times we come before the Lord feeling defeated to the point where words cannot convey what we want to say to Him. Tears stream down our face as we humble ourselves before the almighty God. It’s okay if we don’t have the right words, the Holy Spirit will intercede for us and step in to interpret what is in our heart.
