And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Everyone deals with stress now and then and some people deal with it on a regular basis. Meditating on God’s Word and praying help us to deal with external stressors. We also have to do our part in taking care of our bodies. We need to practice a healthy lifestyle, eat right, and exercise. Give your worries over to God, put your trust and confidence in Him and let the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, bring his peace into your life.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
You know that God can speak to you through his word when you read the Bible, when you hear a sermon, and when you pray. But he can also speak to you through other believers, through music, even social media. God can speak to you in so many ways if you would only surround yourself with the things of God and put yourself in a position to be receptive.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
Pray with the full confidence that God hears you, He is faithful and He is a loving God. God hears all your prayers and He answers all your prayers. When you ask God for something, the answer will be yes, no or wait. The key words here are “according to His will”. Just because you pray and ask God for something does not mean that it is His will for you. You must always pray “according to his will” and ask that His will be done, not yours, for He alone knows His plans for you. No matter what the answer is, know that He has heard your prayer.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.
Like Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesus, we need to pray for our friends and family, our enemies, and the world. We need to pray that they would invite Jesus into their lives so they may experience His infinite love first hand and have a personal relationship with Him. We also need to pray that they would come to truly know Him, His grace, glory and how much He really loves them.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
As we come to the homestretch of the Christmas season and all the hustle and bustle that comes with it pray for peace in your heart and in the hearts of others. True peace is the gift of God to those who keep Him in their hearts. Don’t let yourself get consumed with presents, instead focus on God’s presence. It’s not about the presents it’s about His presence.
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
I am thankful for the love of family and friends. I’m grateful to have such wonderful people as part of my journey. Each person God has put in my life adds something unique and special to it and I love and appreciate them all. I’m thankful for the love we share between us, for the experiences we go through together and for the memories that will be in my heart forever. As I thank God for you I pray that He would continue to bless and protect you always.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
At times we come before the Lord feeling defeated to the point where words cannot convey what we want to say to Him. Tears stream down our face as we humble ourselves before the almighty God. It’s okay if we don’t have the right words, the Holy Spirit will intercede for us and step in to interpret what is in our heart.
