This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.
Your true wisdom and value is not found in your own understanding, power, or riches. It is found in knowing God and in salvation. I cannot boast about anything I have but I can boast about knowing the Lord. I can boast about His kindness, justice, and righteousness. Everything I have and everything I am is because of Him and because of His unfailing love and mercy. If you’re going to brag about something, brag about Jesus.
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
God’s grace, favor, loving-kindness and mercy helps you to make it through anything. His strength and power shows itself the most when you need Him the most. When you are weak you need to depend on God more and the more you depend on God, the more strength He will give you to make it through anything. The world we live in has changed drastically but God never will. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Christ has the power to make you free and those that are set free by the Son are truly free. If you accept his teaching as truth and also obey his teaching you are true disciples. You will know the truth because your eyes will open to a greater understanding of the truth which will set you free from the bondage of sin.
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
We were created with a longing for Christ. We unsuccessfully try to fill this emptiness with people, things, and projects. But the truth is, only Jesus can satisfy your soul. only Jesus can make you whole. It’s not enough just to know who he is, you need to personally experience the love of Christ in your life.
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power.
It’s not always about the words we use when we try to tell people about Jesus that matters. It’s often about the way we live for God that makes the most difference. Sometimes actions do speak louder than words. Whether you know it or not, people are watching you and they see the changes in you that only Christ can make.
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
Every believer at one time or another has doubts about their purpose. As long as you still have some faith God will work with what you have. It’s not about your power or your strength, it’s about having faith in the power of Christ. When you feel doubt and fear creeping in ask God to help you overcome your unbelief and increase your faith.
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
God’s love for us was established since the beginning of time. It is confirmed for us daily as he forgives, protects, provides, heals, and demonstrates his continued grace, mercy and power in our lives. God’s magnificent love is like himself sovereign, unchangeable, and everlasting.
