Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. (GNT)
If you think your thoughts don’t matter you are very wrong. When you think about things or believe something whether it’s good or bad, it turns into things you do, if you do these things enough times it turns into a habit. Your habits determine your character and your character determines who you are in life and where you will spend eternity.
Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
When you feel weak, afraid, or discouraged turn to God. He heals the brokenness and brings peace and joy. You don’t have do it alone, he’ll will be with you every step of the way. Trust in God and he’ll get you through it.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Every now and then I have one of those days when I feel so tired that everything just hits me all at once. I just feel like climbing into bed and sleeping for a week but I know I can’t. I have too many responsibilities to take care of. So, I close my eyes and ask God to give me strength to make it through the day and I remind myself that I CAN do all thing through Christ who strengthens me.
I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.
During prayer take time to be still and reflect on all that the Lord has done for you. This is especially helpful when your current circumstances are challenging. Remembering the ways God has been merciful to you in the past will give you comfort and peace as he brings you through your present situation.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Forgiveness is a key element when you come to God in prayer, not only God forgiving you but you forgiving others. When you hold on to blame in your heart it creates an environment of bitterness and an unforgiving spirit will block your spiritual progress. Sometimes you have to forgive others for your own peace of mind and sometimes you just have to forgive yourself.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Evil is all around us all we have to do is turn on the evening news to see proof of the evil in this world. To live a peaceful life, the Bible tells us to turn from evil. This includes evil people, evil things, and all things evil. Instead, do good, according to God’s Word. Embrace peace in every area of your life through your faith in God.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Whatever you are going through God is always there for you. If you turn to him he will have compassion on you and give you true comfort and peace. He does this so that we can pass on his compassion and comfort to others who are also facing troubles.
