And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
God’s goodwill in sending the Messiah, brought peace into the world. The plan of redemption brings glory and praise to God in that He gave His only Son. Jesus, the Prince of Peace came to reconcile the world to God by His atonement for our sins. The gift of the Savior is an expression of God’s good-will, love and mercy towards all men who will receive it. This Christmas and all year round let the peace of Christ fill your heart with good will toward men.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
As we come to the homestretch of the Christmas season and all the hustle and bustle that comes with it pray for peace in your heart and in the hearts of others. True peace is the gift of God to those who keep Him in their hearts. Don’t let yourself get consumed with presents, instead focus on God’s presence. It’s not about the presents it’s about His presence.
What God gives us through Christ is more valuable than any other present we could ever receive on Christmas day. Through God’s gift of His only Son, Jesus Christ our Savior we have been given the gifts of forgiveness, peace, hope, love, righteousness, redemption, joy, victory, and so much more. Thank Him today for His indescribable gift!
Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts and always be thankful.
Today I am thankful that I have God’s peace in my life. The other day I was talking to someone who was telling me about all the stress and drama in their life and afterward all I could think was, “Thank God I have peace in my life!” It wasn’t always this way though, through the years I’ve learned to trust in the Lord with all my heart and I’ve learned to let go and let Him have His way. I know that God is in control and the closer I draw to Him the more peace I have.
A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.
Wise people are patient when others offend them, purposely or not. Don’t be so easily offended, instead show the offender God’s love and forgive them as God forgives your offenses. Hurt people, hurt people, wise people overlook offenses.
I lie down and sleep: I wake again because the Lord sustains me.
If you’re reading this, you woke up this morning, not everyone did so be thankful for another day the Lord has given you. Remember, no matter what is going on your life you can rest in the arms of God. If you turn to Him, He will give you protection and peace. Have a blessed day!
