Pray God’s Will Be Done

Matthew 6 10 (2).jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 6:10

your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

If you don’t know how or what to pray, pray for God’s will to be done in your life. Don’t be intimidated by long, loud or eloquent prayers.  Prayer doesn’t have to be full of big, fancy words it just has to be from your heart.  Have a sincere conversation with God and pray knowing and believing that He hears you.

Stop Worrying, Start Serving

Matthew 6 27 2.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 6:27

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Worrying doesn’t change a thing and it sure doesn’t add any benefit to your life.  Instead of worrying start serving.  Focus on helping others and God will make sure you are taken of.

Feeding the Homeless

Matthew 25 35

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 25:35

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.

By showing compassion and kindness to those in need you’re sharing God’s love and mercy.  Let everything you do be done as if you are doing it for the Lord. Let God work through you to fill the needs of His people. Don’t wait for someone else to do what God has called you to do.

Stand Up for Jesus!

Matthew 10 32

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 10:32

Therefore, everyone who acknowledges me before people, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.

Everyone is standing up for what they believe in.  They’re rallying and marching for political parties, rights, you name it there’s a march for it.  It’s time we have the courage and confidence to stand up for what we believe in, Jesus Christ!  He is the way, the truth and the life!

He Has RISEN!

Matthew 28 6

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 28:6

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

The resurrection of Christ gives us the hope that if we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, at the second coming of Jesus Christ those who are sleeping in Christ will be resurrected and those who are alive will rise to meet him in the clouds! (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

The Never Changing Word of God

Matthew 24 35

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

We live in an ever changing world and change is inevitable for better or worse. There is a saying some people think comes from the Bible but it doesn’t: “This too shall pass”. I’m sure it has helped some people get through tough times, but there is something even better, something you can always count on, the never changing Word of God. It was true yesterday, it’s true today and it will be true forever.

A Bitter Heart

Matthew 12 34

Verse of the Day:  Matthew 12:34

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good?  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Don’t let evil thoughts and feelings fester in your heart.   If you are holding on to some sort of bitterness try to get to the bottom of what is making you feel this way. Ask God to help you get rid of any resentment and anger you may be holding on to. Eventually, what is in your heart will pour out of your mouth and cause you problems.
