Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
In all our relationships, whether it’s with a friend, relative, child, or spouse at some point one of us may do something to make the other angry or hurt each other’s feelings. We’re not perfect and we make mistakes. It can be something small or it can be something really big, either way it’s how we handle these offenses that determines how the relationship will proceed. It takes genuine forgiveness to make a relationship work and survive. God has forgiven us of all our sins both big and small and he expects us to forgive others just as he has been forgiving toward us.
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
Even on your worst day God’s love, grace, and mercy cover you because He is faithful even when you are not. We have so much to be grateful for that if we begin to glorify God for all He has done for us and count our blessing we would see that His love is better than anything in this life.
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Another year lies ahead of us yet we really don’t know how many days, weeks, months, or years we will get to experience. Make each day count, use each day wisely, and love the Lord with all your heart.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
As we come to the homestretch of the Christmas season and all the hustle and bustle that comes with it pray for peace in your heart and in the hearts of others. True peace is the gift of God to those who keep Him in their hearts. Don’t let yourself get consumed with presents, instead focus on God’s presence. It’s not about the presents it’s about His presence.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
God is good and every gift from him is good and perfect. Think about all good in your life, your job, your home, your family, and know it’s all a gift from God. Think about the spiritual gifts you’ve been given, they too are a gift from God. Now think about the greatest gift of all, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, they all come from our heavenly Father. As we go through this holiday season let’s not forget what it’s really about and remember to be grateful for all the gifts from above.
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
Choose wisely the people with whom you surround yourself, especially, your inner circle. Whether we like it or not, we are influenced by those closest to us. Be determined to surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you, who inspire you and most importantly, who love the Lord.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Today I am incredibly thankful for worship music and songs. Being able to praise and worship God through song is so uplifting and inspiring. No matter what is going on in my life at that moment, good, bad, indifferent it all just seem to melt away instantly as I begin to focus on God. I feel connected to my Savior, so grateful for His love and mercy and thankful for His presence in my life. Although I am not gifted with vocal talents, it doesn’t stop me from appreciating those who are and it doesn’t stop me from singing my heart out to the Lord.
