Everlasting Love

Jeremiah 31 3.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 31:3

The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

God’s love for you was established since the beginning of time.  It is confirmed daily as He forgives, protects, provides, heals and demonstrates His continued grace, mercy and power in your life.  God’s magnificent love is sovereign, unchangeable and everlasting.

Hope

Jeremiah 17 7.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 17:7

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD.

Hope is confidence in God’s love. Hope is the expectation of a future with God.  Hope is the optimism you have in knowing that no matter what may come God will get you through it.  Hope is the anticipation of drawing closer to God. Hope is the assurance you have in knowing that with God all things are possible.  Hope is a blessing from God.

God is Omnipotent

Jeremiah 32 17

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 32:17

“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you

God is all powerful and there is nothing too hard for Him.  When you feel overwhelmed by your circumstances you need to remember that you serve a mighty God who created the heavens and the earth. He loves you and He cares for you and for Him, nothing is impossible.  Nothing is beyond His power and there is nothing that his power cannot do.

To Him I Belong

Jeremiah 10 23.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 10:23

Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.

The devil tries to trick you into thinking “this is my life and I can do what I want with it”.  The truth is your life is not your own, you belong to God.  God has a plan for your life and if you give yourself to Him, He will direct your steps.

In the Potter’s Hands

Jeremiah 18 4

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 18:4

But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

We are the clay, marred by sin and imperfect, often feeling unusable. But in the Potter’s hands we are transformed into a new creation. If we give ourselves to God, He will mold us into a new vessel fit for His purpose and every good work He has planned for us.

Seek the Lord

1 12-28 1 Jeremiah 29 13.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

When you seek the Lord with a sincere heart you will find Him.  God hears your prayers and knows yours heart.  God promises that if you humble yourself, pray, seek His face, and turn from your wicked ways He will hear you.  God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you but it’s up to you to seek Him.

Brag About Jesus

1 11-4 1

Verse of the Day:   Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

Your true wisdom and value is not found in your own understanding, power, or riches.  It is found in knowing God and in salvation.  I cannot boast about anything I have but I can boast about knowing the Lord. I can boast about His kindness, justice, and righteousness. Everything I have and everything I am is because of Him and because of His unfailing love and mercy.  If you’re going to brag about something, brag about Jesus.
