The Right Direction

Isaiah 30 21

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

If you are at a crossroad in your life and not sure which path to take listen to the Holy Spirit, who will guide you onto the right path.  Humbly and earnestly seek guidance through prayer and the Word of God, which will never lead you in the wrong direction.

Perfect Peace

Isaiah 26 3

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

No matter what you go through if you stay focused on the Lord and trust in Him, He will give you peace to get through anything. Give up your need to control every situation and just let God have His way.  Let Him give you the peace your heart longs for.

Dependent on God

Isaiah 40 29

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 40:29

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Today’s society teaches that independence is the goal but what we need most is to be dependent on the Lord.  If we learn to trust and hope in God, He will give us strength when we’re weary, power when we’re weak and he’ll supply all your needs. You can depend on God, His power, promises and provisions.

Turn to God for Salvation

Isaiah 45 22

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 45:22

Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

There is no other way to be saved.  You won’t find salvation in idols, in man, not even in yourself.  Only God can save you.  Seek the Lord while he may be found, call on him while he is near. (Isaiah 55:6)

Obedience and Service

isaiah 6 8

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 6:8

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”  And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

If your desire is for God to use you, first you need to experience a relationship with him, get to know him, and recognize his voice.  Second, you need to offer yourself to him through obedience and service.

Fruit of Peace

Isaiah 32 17

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 32:17

The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

God’s presence in our lives changes everything.  When we submit to God’s will, he gives us a calmness, an inner peace that nothing on the outside can take away.  We’ll have a quiet confidence that no matter what happens we know God is in control and we know that God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

You Are Precious

isaiah-43-4

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 43:4

Because you are precious in my eyes, you are honored, and I love you.

Are you seeing yourself the way God sees you?  You are God’s own creation and we know that He doesn’t make mistakes.  You have worth, you are a jewel and you belong to God.  You have been adopted into His own family, you are His child and an heir to His kingdom.  God has given you gifts and talents to use for His purpose because He has a plan for you.  He loves you so much He gave His Only Son so you could have eternal life. Stop worrying about the way the world sees you and start seeing yourself the way God sees you, as precious.
