Fruit of Peace

Isaiah 32 17

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 32:17

The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

God’s presence in our lives changes everything.  When we submit to God’s will, he gives us a calmness, an inner peace that nothing on the outside can take away.  We’ll have a quiet confidence that no matter what happens we know God is in control and we know that God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

You Are Precious

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 43:4

Because you are precious in my eyes, you are honored, and I love you.

Are you seeing yourself the way God sees you?  You are God’s own creation and we know that He doesn’t make mistakes.  You have worth, you are a jewel and you belong to God.  You have been adopted into His own family, you are His child and an heir to His kingdom.  God has given you gifts and talents to use for His purpose because He has a plan for you.  He loves you so much He gave His Only Son so you could have eternal life. Stop worrying about the way the world sees you and start seeing yourself the way God sees you, as precious.

Strength Renewed

1 12-29 1 Isaiah 40 31

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 40:31

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

As 2017 comes to a close we can thank God for seeing us through another year.  Though we may have had struggles we made it through them with the help of the Lord.  The new year, 2018 will soon be here and it is a time for new beginnings.  Trust in the Lord to renew your strength and refresh your spirit, and remember you are more than conquerors through God who loves you.

Name Above All Names

1 12-17 1 Isaiah 9 6

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The Messiah, a gift from God, His only Son was born to save mankind.  He is described as Wonderful because of His glorious nature, Counselor because He knew God’s plan and revealed it to us.  He is called Mighty God because He is God as well as man, Everlasting Father of all believers.  He is the Prince of Peace and purchaser of peace between God and men when He died for our sins.  God gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

1 12-15 1 Isaiah 7 14.jpg

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

The prophecy revealed the birth of Jesus and they will call Him Immanuel, which means God with us. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and is always with us to the end of the age. This was all part of God’s divine plan for the salvation of man and to restore fellowship between God and man. How wonderful to know that God loves us, is with us and will never leave us.

Do Good

1 10-19 1

Verse of the Day:   Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do good.  Seek justice.  Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of the orphans.  Fight for the rights of widows.

We each have been given different gifts and talents to help others.  Let’s do good in this world for those who need our help.  There are many ways you can do good by giving you’re your time and volunteering your gifts and abilities to help others in need.

God Is with You

Verse of the Day:   Isaiah 41:10

Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God is telling you not to be afraid because He is with you.  What better reassurance can you get?  God Himself is saying that you shouldn’t be frightened because He is your God and He’s going to be with you to strengthen you, help you, and defend you not because you are righteous but because He is.  Knowing that God is on your side should make you fearless.
