Pray for Others

Verse of the Day:        Ephesians 3:16-18

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

 

Like Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesus, we need to pray for our friends and family, our enemies, and the world.  We need to pray that they would invite Jesus into their lives so they may experience His infinite love first hand and have a personal relationship with Him.  We also need to pray that they would come to truly know Him, His grace, glory and how much He really loves them.

That I May Know Him Better

Verse of the Day:  Ephesians 1:17

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

 

My deepest wish and desire is that I may know Him better.  With every day, week, month, and year that passes my hope is that I may gain wisdom and revelation that brings me closer to Him. I want more of you, God, less of me and more of you, God.

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

I am truly thankful for everything God has done for me and the plans He has for my future.  I am thankful for everything He has blessed me with, it’s more than I deserve. I’m thankful for my salvation and for the relationship I have with my Savior.  Above all else, I’m thankful for God’s love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. I give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart.

Humility is Strength

1 Ephesians 4 2

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

 

Live a less self-centered life by focusing more on God and by being kind to others.  Humility doesn’t mean being weak, it’s actually the opposite.  It’s being so strong in your faith that you are obedient to God’s Word no matter the circumstances.

Your Purpose

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Jesus Christ to do the good works, which God prepared in advanced for us to do.

 

God put a desire in your heart for a purpose that he planned long ago.   Step out in faith asking God for guidance and direction in fulfilling your God given dreams.  Don’t let doubts or the devil keep you from being all you can be for the Lord.

Grace

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

 

Salvation is a gift from God.  We cannot buy it, earn it, work for it, or get it based on our own abilities.  Through the plan of God to save us, Jesus paid for this gift when he died on the cross for our sins.  Everything you have, everything you are, and everything you do is all because of God’s grace on you.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

 

Just like a soldier going into battle we too must put on our full armor.  God has equipped us with all we need to stand up to the devil’s plans.  The first thing we must do is to recognize that we already have the victory through Jesus Christ.
