I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
We can be assured that God honors and fulfills his promises. We can rely on God’s faithfulness which has been founded in heaven. Our hope and confidence in him lies in his faithfulness because his Word is true and trustworthy forever and ever.
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.
If our hope is anchored in Jesus, when we go through storms we can be confident that we will remain connected, safe, and secure. Whatever storm we face we can trust that Jesus will never leave us and our hope is never misplaced.
When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.
Sometimes we get too set on having to know the answers. Faith is not about having the answers; it’s about knowing the one who has the answers. Having a relationship with God is what’s important. Just knowing that you can call to him and he will hear you is more important than the actual answer.
The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Choosing your friends is a big deal because whether you know it or not you become like the people you spend the most time with. Surround yourself with people who encourage you and make a positive impact in your life. Your friends should inspire and motivate you to do good and be a better person. Choose your friends wisely and be a good friend too.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.
Honestly, this was a hard lesson for me to learn. I was stuck on demanding my rights not on what is best for me as a Christian woman. I finally realized that just because I have the right to do something it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s right for me. Knowing the difference between your rights and what is right for you comes with spiritual maturity.
Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord.
God wants you to come to him with the good, the bad, and the ugly. He already knows but he wants you to bring it to him. It doesn’t matter what it is anger, frustration, confusion, pain, suffering, bring it all to him. Don’t hold in whatever is bothering you inside. It’s okay to pour out your heart to God and tell him how you feel, then let the healing begin.
Therefore, everyone who acknowledges me before people, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.
Everyone is standing up for what they believe in. They’re rallying and marching for political parties, rights, you name it, there’s a march for it. It’s time we have the courage and confidence to stand up for what we believe in, Jesus Christ! He is the way, the truth and the life!
