We know dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be His own people.

 

Live with confidence and walk with your head held high knowing that God loves you and has chosen you to be His own people.  You belong to the Father because the Father chose you.  How wonderful is that? To know that God Himself chose you should give you the faith you need to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

 

There will be trials, there will be tough times, but God is with you and if you don’t give up you will be blessed.  Stay strong, you are not alone, and it will all be worth it in the end.

Make Every Day Count

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

 

Another year lies ahead of us yet we really don’t know how many days, weeks, months, or years we will get to experience. Make each day count, use each day wisely, and love the Lord with all your heart.

New Beginnings

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

 

Tomorrow is the first day of a new year, it’s a chance for a new beginning.  Put the past behind you and start this new year with your focus on God.  He loves you and His compassion for you never fails.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and see that He is good.

New Year’s Resolutions

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

 

This is the time of year when we start thinking about New Year’s resolutions.  We decide to make changes and declare goals that will improve our lives.  The Bible tells us we should set our minds on things above and that our thoughts and goals should be focused on Christ and our future home, heaven.  Everything on Earth is temporary and even though we need to care and provide for ourselves while here our hearts should not be devoted to possessions. As we contemplate our New Year’s resolutions let us be mindful to include goals that put God first in our lives.

Strength Renewed

1 12-29 1 Isaiah 40 31

 

Verse of the Day:  Isaiah 40:31

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

 

As 2017 comes to a close we can thank God for seeing us through another year.  Though we may have had struggles we made it through them with the help of the Lord.  The new year, 2018 will soon be here and it is a time for new beginnings.  Trust in the Lord to renew your strength and refresh your spirit, and remember you are more than conquerors through God who loves you.

Seek the Lord

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

 

When you seek the Lord with a sincere heart you will find Him.  God hears your prayers and knows yours heart.  God promises that if you humble yourself, pray, seek His face, and turn from your wicked ways He will hear you.  God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you but it’s up to you to seek Him.
