God is Infinite

1 revelation 1 8

Revelation 1:8

Verse of the Day:  Revelation 1:8

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

God cannot be measured; he cannot be defined by human standards.  He has no beginning and no end.  He always was, he is, and always will be.  He has no limits but because our minds are finite we try to box him into a set form.  We need to remove the parameters we put on God and have faith in his limitless power, with God all things are possible.

God is Our Comforter

2 corinthians 1 3-4

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Verse of the Day:  2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Whatever you are going through God is always there for you.  If you turn to him he will have compassion on you and give you true comfort and peace.  He does this so that we can pass on his compassion and comfort to others who are also facing troubles.

God is Trustworthy

2 Samuel 7 28.jpg

2 Samuel 7:28

Verse of the Day: 2 Samuel 7:28

Sovereign LORD, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.

God is trustworthy, you can count on him because he is faithful to his promises. You can rely on his word to be constant and true. Man may fail you but God never fails.

Happy Father’s Day

Proverbs 20:7

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 20:7

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.

Fathers: You are responsible for teaching your children about the Lord.  Be a spiritual leader by example, show love, discipline when necessary, and have compassion for your children.  Children:  Obey, respect, and honor your father, in all the ways of the Lord.  Fathers and Children:  No one is perfect, forgive each other and try to live in peace.

Why Should We Serve?

Mark 10:45

Verse of the Day: Mark 10:45

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

As followers of Jesus Christ we should follow the example he set for us when he came to serve, and not to be served. He showed us how to help the weak and we must, with humility and love, also do the same. How wonderful it is to serve God by serving others.

A Happy Heart

Proverbs15.15

Proverbs 15:15

Verse of the Day:  Proverbs 15:15

All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

You can choose to be worried and troubled or you can choose to trust God and be happy.  The way to a happy heart begins in giving thanks to God in every situation. You can always find something to be thankful for even if you have to look a little harder.  Be grateful for the little things that God can use to fill your heart with joy.

Set Free

1galations

Galatians 5:1

Verse of the Day:  Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.  Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

We have been set free from sin through Jesus Christ yet many still live with the shame and guilt of their past.  If you are born again you are a new creation with a new way of thinking.  You have been given a second chance to be who God created you to be.  Don’t go back to whatever sin God has already freed you from.
